Permanent Secrets offers a complete range of hair removal services for both men and women. These services include waxing facial, upper body, legs, arms, back and bikini areas.

For the best results, hair should be at least 1/4″ long. Do not apply AHA or any other aggressive skin products the day before or after waxing. Please advise us before your service if you are using either Retin-A or antibiotics. Avoid sun for 24 hours.

Waxing is completely safe if administered by an expert following safe and hygienic procedure. Waxing Weakens Hair
As the client continues with waxing, the hair will begin to weaken and thin. This may produce a temporary tendency to ingrown hairs. The client should continue to use their exfoliating products and procedures as recommended by their esthetician/technician.

Wax is not recommended if you…

• are using Retin-A™, Renova, Accutane or any other questionable medications or skin thinning substance such as excessive AHA’s (glycolic), etc.
• have any systemic disease such as Cancer (due to high skin sensitivity), Diabetes (very prone to bruising), Herpes Simplex (cold sores), etc.
• have vascular problems such as Couperose of the face, Varicose Veins or Phlebitis.
• have open wounds, infection, inflammation or hypersensitivity.
• have your doubts, don’t get waxed.

After waxing, what to avoid:

• Sunbathing or using of tanning beds for 24 hrs
• Hot water or saunas
• Chlorinated water
• Deodorant with aluminum
• Make-up, if face was waxed.
• Salt glow / stimulating body or facial treatments.
• Tight clothing for legs and bikini.

Exfoliate 24-48 hours after Use some type of exfoliating product to keep skin buildup from accumulating in areas that tend to become ingrown.

Hard Wax

A thin layer of warm wax is spread on the skin, followed by a muslin strip that’s pressed on top, then ripped quickly in the opposite direction of the hair growth. Great for women with coarse hair as it helps it grow back softer.
